Panasonic has released the first in a range of appliances featuring the company’s ecological navigation technology, called ECONAVI, developed to improve energy efficiency.

This 10kg washing machine has a 3D sensor and inverter technology to detect clothes load, energy use, drum rotations, water and temperature.

The ‘matrix’ interior drum has dimple-shaped water spouts to prevent clothes from catching and for a high-performance spin-drying.

An eco speed mode comes with three wash cycle options and there is auto power off when washing is complete.

Wash programs include delicates, sportwear, baby care and memory mode for favourite wash programs.

The Panasonic NA-140VG3WAU is available for $1799.
