Polaroid is bringing back its famous instant photography experience with the Z340 camera, combining a digital camera and ZINK Zero Ink Printing Technology.
Back in 1948, Polaroid launched its Land Camera, which was the first instant camera on the market. The company claims the Z340 recreates this classic experience, but now lets consumers perform a variety of digital tasks like cropping and editing before printing.
In terms of printing, the Z340 uses ZINK paper which uses three layers of specially designed dye crystals that are activated by colour and heat. Consumers have the option of a classic Polaroid white border or full bleed 3×4.
The Polaroid Z340 will be available in February 2012 for $399.99. It includes ten sheets of ZINK Photo Paper, a rechargeable lithium-ion battery, adaptor, charger, USB cable and hand strap.
