Uniden has just announced a unique video surveillance solution that is a first of its kind in Australia.
The Uniden Guardian is a plug-and-play wireless video surveillance system for homes and small businesses. The G2720 is the first in the series and includes two outdoor weatherproof cameras and a 7-inch touchscreen monitor. An optional wireless indoor camera that can be moved around the home can also be purchased.
One of the most interesting features of the Guardian is the ability to remotely view a video feed via an iPhone/Android app or PC/Mac. To access the feed, consumers simply log into an internet portal via their smartphone or computer.
Uniden has emphasised that the Guardian is really easy to set up and can be installed within a matter of minutes. It features infrared night vision up to 12m, 2x digital zoom, pan and tilt, and Quick Tips user manual on the monitor.

Available in June, Uniden Guardian is available in three variations:
- G2720 (7-inch tablet and two weatherproof cameras) RRP $549.95
- G2711 (7-inch tablet, one weatherproof camera and one indoor camera) RRP $549.95
- G2710 (7-inch tablet and one weatherproof camera) RRP $449.95
For the first three months, any customer who purchases the Guardian 2720 will receive a free indoor camera via redemption (valued at $129.95).
