Yamaha has just announced the first model in its 73 Series of receivers, the RX-V373, which is a replacement for Australia’s best-selling receiver in 2011.
According to Yamaha, the receiver is an entry-level model for the Series and features 5.1 surround sound, iPhone connectivity, HD audio decoding and 4K video pass-through.
In terms of audio performance, the RX-V373 includes YPAO (Yamaha Parametic room Optimiser) for professional calibration to suit an size or shape room by measuring and analysing speaker capabilities and the rooms acoustic qualities.
This works together with Yamaha’s DSP modes which has 17 different programs utilising Cinema DSP and Virtual Cinema DSP.
The RX-V373 is available for $499. It is also available in the YHT-298 home theatre package with bookshelf speakers for $649 and the YHT-698AU full size home theatre package for $1199.
