Google has officially unveiled details of its new 7-inch tablet, the Google Nexus 7.
The Google branded tablet will be the first tablet to run on the Android 4.1 Jellybean operating system.
The company said that the Nexus 7 is optimised for content specifically from Google Play.
Some of the features include: 7-inch 1280×800 HD display, Scratch resistant Corning Gorilla Glass, 1.2-megapixel front facing camera and NFC (Android Beam). It will run on a quad-core Tegra 3 processor, has 1GB RAM and weighs 340 grams.
The Nexus 7 can currently be pre-ordered for $249 and $299 for the 8GB and 16GB models.
