After years of pushing the Blu-ray and DVD recorder message, Panasonic is set to release its first dedicated PVR in Australia, the DMR-HW220.
With a one terabyte hard drive and twin high definition tuners, the PVR is capable of recording 140 hours of simultaneous high definition programming. With a simple 7-day electronic program guide to program recordings, the new PVR also incorporates Panasonics suite of IPTV entertainment options, including YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Yahoo!7 Plus 7 and ABC iView. It also supports Skype with an additional camera.
DLNA connectivity over an integrated wireless LAN, USB connectivity for additional storage and an SD card slot for viewing photos rounds out the HW220′s spec sheet.
The DMR-HW220 has an RRP of $499 and is available now.
