With Woolworths getting ready to amputate the Dick Smith chain from its books in the very near future, managing director Debra Singh has resigned from the top job of the electronics chain.
The move comes four years after she took the helm of the Dick Smith business, and seven months after Woolworths first announced it was putting the consumer electronics chain up for sale.
The sale is expected to be completed within the next few weeks, with Singh having played a major part in the negotiations, as well as overseeing the closure of 52 stores in the past two years.
