Asus has bolstered it’s successful Transformer Pad range of Android tablets with the announcement of the Infinity, the world’s first Android tablet with a Full HD display.
The Asus Transformer Pad Infinity incorporates a Full HD 1920×1200 Super IPS+ display, which is kept protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 2.
But it’s not just the display that makes this tablet, it has a host of other features bound to garner attention. Under the hood runs a NVIDIA Tegra 3 T33 4-PLUS-1 quad-core CPU with a 12-core GeForce GPU, in addition to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system.
Some other notable features include SonicMaster audio technology, 8-megapixel rear-facing camera, 64GB storage and up to 16 hours of battery life when docked. It weighs 598g and measures 8.5mm thick.
The Asus Transformer Pad Infinity will be available in August for $999. Other models in the Transformer Pad family all still available, including the Prime (32GB/$799, 64GB $899) and 300 (from $499).
