It was a jaw-dropping moment at the Australian Reptile Park to meet Elvis the crocodile. Elvis was reluctantly woken from his afternoon siesta to give the media an opportunity to take a few images as he rocked and rolled for his lunch. All this was part of a Panasonic shooting party on the New South Wales Central Coast to preview the company’s latest range of Lumix cameras. And Elvis put on quite a show.
The image was taken with the Lumix DMC-LX7 which Panasonic has dubbed the ‘creative compact’. This model is the fifth generation of the LX series with a new lens, image sensor and processing engine. The Light Speed AF captures those fast shooting moments which were certainly needed for this shot. Another feature worth mentioning is the nano surface coating on the lens that minimises light reflection. Available in September in black or white the DMC-LX7 retails at $649.
