Sony Australia has made a couple of key staff changes in its home entertainment division, with Kelly Knussen taking on the role of TV product manager and the promotion of Ken Hatanaka to deputy marketing manager, home entertainment.
Knussen enters the role after six years as Bravia product manager for Sony New Zealand. Hatanaka has over ten years of product marketing experience for Sony in Australia, Singapore and Japan.
“Kelly brings to Australia extensive experience in the TV category. During her time in New Zealand, she was heavily involved in delivering a number of Sony TV milestones including the launch of the now instantly recognisable Bravia ‘Balls’ campaign, the introduction of the first 3D sets and the launch of Internet TV,” said Sony marketing manager, home entertainment, Hass Mahdi.
“Ken is a seasoned veteran in product marketing and has continually proven himself by successfully managing Australia’s home audio visual business with achievements including the number one position for both Blu-ray and DVD players. In his new role, Ken will now support the wider home entertainment business and will take on added responsibilities within the TV category.”
In other Sony news, the company has confirmed that its Google TV has been extended until 2 September 2012.
