According to an LG survey, one-quarter of Australians have fridge-envy.
That number might rise after TT had a preview of the company’s latest and apparently largest capacity French door format to hit the local market. It’s the first fridge with full door-in-door technology – a specially designed door panel that opens with the bush of a button for easy access to frequently used chilled items.
It has a 907L gross capacity and an 832mm internal width for holding wide platters. Another new feature is the temperature controlled pantry drawer for storing meat or deli items and there is a retractable shelf for holding tall bottles. The in-door ice maker with tall ice and water dispenser accommodates up to 33.5cm high containers.
Customers wanting a premium French door layout in a compact footprint can expect to pay around $4599 for the GR-D907SL.
As previously reported in TT, the launch will be supported by a national multi-channel campaign featuring LG brand ambassador and actress, Georgie Parker, who joined the media and chef Matt Moran in the Utzon Room at the Sydney Opera House for the launch.
The media were shown the TVC which corporate marketing manager, Fiona Irving, described as “modern and fresh that clearly demonstrates all the benefits of the new refrigerator.”
