Australian listeners will now have greater streaming options with internet radio service Pandora signing a deal with Sonos.
Pandora will now be streaming on all Sonos products in Australia, enabling users to listen to personalised music stations. Users will be able to control and see see the album art and information about the artist and song while listening from their Sonos controller. They’ll also be able to pull up Pandora options to options to bookmark a track or artist, thumb-up and thumb-down their stations, skip and pause.
Through Pandora internet radio, listeners can create personalised radio stations based on their favourite songs, artists or genres, and Pandora will play tracks which share similar musical qualities.
“Through Sonos with Pandora, people will have even more listening freedom, with the ability to stream Internet radio which is personalised to their tastes, on a device built for the delivery of sound,” Jane Huxley, managing director, Pandora Australia and New Zealand, said.
Pandora is available as a free service on the Sonos system in Australia now. Sonos is available at audio-visual specialty retailers across Australia, including JB HiFi and selected Harvey Norman and Telstra Stores. Existing Sonos customers will be able to access to Pandora automatically through the ‘More Music’ section on their existing Sonos controllers.
